The PTA is a group of parent volunteers who are committed to helping providing the highest quality education and social experience for the students, teachers, administrators, and parents at MS104. We organize volunteers, utilize resources, and facilitate funding to support the 104 students and community.

Communication:​

Baruch Blast
The MS104 PTA sends out a weekly newsletter called the Baruch Blast aimed at providing parents with all the information they need to stay informed and get involved. The Baruch Blast is the primary means of communication between the PTA and the MS104 Community.

Social Media: The PTA and MS104 Staff manage the Facebook and Instagram accounts. Follow us at @SimonBaruchMS104 on both apps for updates and fun content you won't find anywhere else.

WhatsApp Grade Level Parent Groups: The PTA manages a WhatApp Chat for each grade. These groups are primarily for parents to connect with each other, ask questions, and for the PTA to send information. If you would like to be added to your grade level chat, please email baruch104pta@gmail.com with your name, contact information, child's name and grade. Only verified parents/guardians will be added to the chats.​​

General Meetings:

The MS104 PTA hosts monthly general membership meetings typically every 3rd Thursday of the month at 9 a.m. on Zoom. All parents of MS104 students are invited to attend. All aspects of our finances are explained thoroughly, upcoming events are discussed, and parents are encouraged to submit questions here that are most often answered by Principal Rocco Macri himself.

You can subscribe to the PTA calendar to add these to your personal calendar. You will need to register for each meeting to attend and receive the zoom link and codes.

Parents are also encouraged to email the PTA at baruch104pta@gmail.com with any additional questions or comments. We are diligent and transparent with our responses.

Volunteering:

Our success depends on you! Have some time to Volunteer? Whether it’s only an hour a year or a few hours a month, we could really use your help!

​

The PTA runs several events like book fairs, gift fairs, dances, the Prom, the Spring Auction and sells merchandising throughout the year. If you are interested in joining any of these teams, please email us.

​

The success of these events depends largely on the willingness of our Baruch community to volunteer their time and effort. Whether it’s a few hours at every event or just a single hour at one event,* we can always use your help.   *SIDE NOTE: A few hours at every event is better. ;)

​

Fundraising:

100% of every dollar raised in the MS104 Annual Fund is directed to help the entire MS104 community. Your donations fund:

• All School Supplies for every student and classroom!

• Gym Shirts for 6th grade

• Book Fair - a book for every student!

• Yearbooks for every 8th grade graduate!

• All the Special Events for your students & families: BOO-RUCH, BRR-UCH, Valentine's Dance, Art & Culture Night and Potluck, Spring Fling, 8th Grade Prom, and more!

• Provide professional & staff development that help MS104 teachers and administrators stay up to date on new teaching methods that are invaluable in their constant pursuit of academic excellence.

• Provide funds for classroom technology: IXL, iReady, Mastery Coding and more

• Upgrade Facilities and more (Ping Pong Table, piano, other instruments)

• Bring academic enrichment programs into the classroom.

• Bring Speakers to the school community, such as Social Media Talk

• Baruch Bucks prizes
